>communism is a wonderful idea

Seriously is there a better way to prove a person is a dumbass?

What about communism sounds appealing? You really wanna share all your belongings with all these assholes you see on a daily basis?
>>
Communism would only work if every part of society was sustained by selfbuilding AI-robots and we live like they do in WALL-E.

Even then it would probably be fucking awful.

Capitalism doesn't look good even on paper.
>>
>>55369843
Thats because its not an idiology.

There is no utopia with capitalism, it just works and reflects all our shortcomings in the process.

String Theory looks good on paper.

And yet it works unlike communism.

I really love it when people say that. It instantly alerts you to the fact that they live their life through the television.
>>
>>55368987
Any kind of ideological belief is like religion. People are brainwashed. To reach true euphoria you must first tip the fedora and then ignore all ideologies and religion. Unfortunately this will make you disgusted of being part of the human race.

It looks good on film too

>technology has advanced so much that no one needs to work to support themselves
>all goods are equally available
>no one is more or less educated than anyone else
>everyone has made themselves subservient to the will of the ship

Communism isn't about sharing your possessions c*ck. Also you are one of the assholes too.

>>>/int/

Anyway just because I like Germans I will reply. The abstract thinking would be to consider that just as you're seeing assholes that you don't wanna share with, that's also what they see. That's the same for most people. No one wants to share his house or his belongings. Communism and socialism are about ownership of resources, patents, generally thinks that could be (or should be) in the public sphere. It's against having a parasitical class who lives on past accomplishments (and repression) and not on their labour like you an me. Thank you.
>>

Some people are frightened by freedom because it means you have to be responsible for your failures and they can't handle that so they resort to Communism to bring everyone down to their level.

Is supporting capitalism a mental disease?

No, you can hold religious beliefs, and political beliefs. The secret is not being a cunt and being capable of having a discussion without shooting or chopping the heads off people who say things you don't like.

>>
>>55371141

yes, but that's exactly why communism and other patterned distribution systems are retarded and ALWAYS have to lead to violence in order to be sustained. See hayek and, most importantly, Nozick:

>"Nozick's famous Wilt Chamberlain argument is an attempt to show that patterned principles of just distribution are incompatible with liberty. He asks us to assume that the original distribution in society, D1, is ordered by our choice of patterned principle, for instance Rawls's Difference Principle. Wilt Chamberlain is an extremely popular basketball player in this society, and Nozick further assumes 1 million people are willing to freely give Chamberlain 25 cents each to watch him play basketball over the course of a season (we assume no other transactions occur). Chamberlain now has $250,000, a much larger sum than any of the other people in the society. This new distribution in society, call it D2, obviously is no longer ordered by our favored pattern that ordered D1. However Nozick argues that D2 is just. For if each agent freely exchanges some of his D1 share with the basketball player and D1 was a just distribution (we know D1 was just, because it was ordered according to your favorite patterned principle of distribution), how can D2 fail to be a just distribution? Thus Nozick argues that what the Wilt Chamberlain example shows is that no patterned principle of just distribution will be compatible with liberty. In order to preserve the pattern, which arranged D1, the state will have to continually interfere with people's ability to freely exchange their D1 shares, for any exchange of D1 shares explicitly involves violating the pattern that originally ordered it."

> Communism and socialism are about ownership of resources, patents, generally thinks that could be (or should be) in the public sphere.

Yes, and that's clearly a terrible fucking idea. How can you attack others for not applying abstract reasoning when you can't see how that's going to infringe on people's privacy and ability to run their own lives?
>>
>>55371642
Rich people don't care about Hayek believe me. They're more likely to use Das Kapital against you than Hayek in favor of you. Those are all armchair ideologies. I agree that a decentralized system is better. Capitalism is not one.

But that's true.
It's when you start trying to apply it in real life it starts falling apart.
>>
>>55371796
Funny how you're using a computer and the internet to talk about how Capitalism is a failure.
>>
>>55368987
Commies argue that ideology is *like* religion, or lack thereof.
So if Mao kills a bunch of people it's still because of religion.

What points do you bring up that aren't refuted? In what manner do you present your argument? So few commies have the capacity to think about any opposing arguments.

Your individualism is nonsense. It's like saying that cartoons are real. Also welcome to the world of SJWs because they totally agree with you.
>>
>>55372737

depends.

if we are talking merely economics, I usually post the graphs that show the causality of higher taxes/lower gpd growth, the upkeep costs of pay-as-you-go systems vs. private pension funds, singapore, hong-kong, the problem of economic calculation as explained by Mises,...ยจ

sometimes it's purely in the realm of political philosophy, so basically just Locke and Nozick, e.g. - we own our own bodies, therefore we own our own labour, we acquire proprietary rights in things by mixing our labour with them, and when people tell you to give something of yours to another, they basically tell you to give a part of yourself to someone else, thereby making you a slave.

leftypol commies are better educated and more intellectually honest, so sometimes when the work is slow in the office I go there. It's good mental exercise. pol lefties usually never go ebyond infographics and Hitlers/Stalins propaganda.
