I'll give you example of what I meant.
During my life I have met some people claiming to be Russian. Some of them were cool, some of them were dicks and so on. Perhaps one of them was in fact a Belorussian guy in disguise, but to this day I have no clue about this and still have no opinion about people from your country.
Now, developing opinion about entire nation after one encounter would be stupid, but it's the little things that count.
