We're only like 77% White or some shit, and there are lots of great examples of non-whites around (like non-nog blacks I mean), but talk to the average Canadian for 5 to 10 minutes and he'll probably say something racist. We have this national facade of diversity and inclusion, but most people I talk to are openly racist and make jokes all the time. At the same time though, violent crime, particularly interracial violent crime is relatively low in Canada.
I see a lot of mixed-race couples around and they are pushed really hard in the media (every advertisement here that features more than three people in/on it will guaranteed have one black, one asian, and one middle-easterner, and the white female will inevitably be paired with one male from those three). I am actually mind blown when I see same-race couples in advertising, or White male paired with coloured female.
