I work at a restaurant that has a few police officer regulars that come in 3-4 times a week to eat. The last time that those police officers paid for their meal was probably 3 months ago. Every day I have a table ask to pay for their meals and many times I tell them no because they have already gotten their meal paid for by another table.
The other day a black couple came in and the black man got up and walked up to the cop and shook his hand and thanked him for his service and later asked me if he could pay for his meal (which I said no because it had already been paid for).
