I'm a student but I work in a pretty busy bar in the weekends. Around 2 weeks ago we had some refugees coming to the bar for the first time ever. Like 8-10 guys from Sryia, they wear expensive clothes and are not at all poor. Last week one of them touched one of our barmaids ass. There weren't any male bartenders at the time but the girls throwed them out anyway (they refused first, girls called other bars bartenders), but they still keep coming in the weekends. Since this saturday we have a doorman. Never needed it.
Luckily the bar is located at a pretty central place with more (mostly racist)bars around it, we have good connections with the rest of the bars and most of my male co-workers dont fuck around. I'm pretty sure it wont take very long before one of them loses his teeth or gets put in a hospital. Also, police in our city are pretty racist so they wont mind or will even cooperate with us.

Yup, in the south they tend to extort and ask money from local medium/low companies or stores owners, in order to "protect" them from themselves or just to allow them in a specific area.
They also force you to buy products from them creating an aggressive monopoly. Like at the market all the greengroceries must buy fruit n shit from them, or a company owner can only buy a certain raw material only from them. If you don't there are all sorts of intimidation.
In the north its more hidden, more at an high leve so you don't feel it as an average citizen, but i don't even know much about it.
