It does not matter how many naval ships your enemy has if you have just one that can shoot further than they can. This was the catch 22 of the early 20th century. an armada could be decimated by a single dreadnought that blasted them before the dreadnought was ever in range.
Those planes could launch missiles further, eliminating Arab planes. Israeli tank cannons also rekt older Arab tanks which were Soviet WW2 surplus tanks. All got taken out before they ever got in range to fire back.

The Arabs lost on battlefield but Eygpt & Sadat were looking for political 'strategical' win.
Israel failure to end the war on their terms meant the US & Soviet Union dictated the political solution ending of the war. Israel was totally dependent on US for replacement of it's losses from jets to tanks & munitions & fuel. Same on Arab side with Soviet Union control of it's client states supply.
