At OCS about 80% of females drop out and about 30% of men do also. I remember the graduating female platoon being 12 girls and those who did make it through I give mad respect. They honestly were ready to cut every single one of us there and not give a fuck. They had to do pretty much everything we had to with the exception of a O course with shorter obstacles but their rope climb at the end is the same height as ours.
Chicks straight up suck at the humps, I dont know why. Some girls beat me on thr 5 mile run in go fasters but when it came to the hikes they were all gone by mile 3.

In Quantico in the summer its usually over 100 and its a swamp so the humidity is killer. Our SULE 2 started at 12:30 AM with a 9 mile hike into a 14 mile hike with combat simulations throughout.
The Marines usually have a few heat death cases every year but that shows poor leadership, having a recruit die because you cant figure out a better way to train them is the programs fault.
Regardless, if he died in 80 degree weather he certainly isnt surviving in the desert.
