It sure as fuck wasn't 6 million, and there sure as fuck weren't any gas chambers. Records of deaths in various camps confirm the numbers as well, but many of those people simply died as a result of horrible conditions and spreading disease within the camps.
The "death camps" were probably just the camps that were infected. Either way, a lot of people died, and the cause was a mix of negligence and anti-semitism, which is still enough to consider it "real" in my opinion.
