Except for one assignment that has to be 3000 words and worth 20% on equality in the workplace, we could either choose to investigate how women are marginalised within engineering and why the low number of women in engineering is detrimental or we had to discuss the importance of indigenous Australians in engineering and the barriers they face.
Key points we had to address were
-the pros of diversity
-the myth of meritocracy
-the impact of privilege and more.

The lecturer then went on to talk about the wage gap, the prevalence of white males in the top positions of engineering firms and (ironically) how confirmation bias is why essentially any opposing opinions are wrong.
