The Iraq war was justified and necessary.
Necessary:
From before my lifetime, the US was accused of, and did, prop up dictators for our own purposes (tbf, as all other world powers do). It was used as a club against us.
Bush proved that they didn't want freedom.
It was a gamble, but the payoff of a democratic Iraq would have been enormous. The chance had to be taken, just once.
Justified:
9/10 of Americans wanted it. We had September 11, a beltway sniper, at least two other planes crashed into buildings, and mass-mailings of poison to political leaders. Saddam was paying bounties to suicide bombers and claiming WMD's, which we knew he'd used recently.
Then, like now, we all agreed that something had to be done about those arabs. We were being attacked, and none one else could do it.
Bill Clinton signed the removal of Saddam into US law.

Saddam had a hard job. Keeping a divided nation of Kurds, Sunnis, and Shiites whole. He was the best choice for stability in Iraq, and was generally kind of a likable guy who tried hard to maintain relations with the West but was cut off entirely.
He built Iraq up into a pretty decent country, giving them control over their own resources and autonomy away from Jewish bankers.
US came in, burned everything they built to the ground, changed their national laws which forbid outside elements from owning their land and resources, gave their oil to Exxon, who then sold it to China.
We have done nothing good in Iraq. Not a shred of decency was imparted to them when we went there. Now its torn the fuck up with ISIS just like we always wanted.
Saddam didn't deserve to die the way he did.
We celebrated Gaddafi in the same exact way, and would have done the same to Assad as well to make the whole region just a complete bloodbath.
