The black football players are threatening to boycott Saturday's game if the university president doesn't, among other things, hold a press conference where he admits his white privilege and resigns. They also want mandatory diversity and sensitivity training instituted for all students.
The trouble is, no one knows exactly why this is happening. The president himself has done nothing wrong except not acknowledging a group of nog protesters at the school's homecoming parade.

The President of the university should say:
"I am not going to do anything. If you want to hold the university and the tax payers of Missouri who fund thus University hostage, then you may go right ahead. It is your own future in the NFL that will suffer. Not our school. With that being said, in order to show my willingness to encourage diversity, all University funded scholarships for athletic programs have now been equally distributed across the entire U of M athletic department. Because of this, the U of M collegiate football team will have its scholarships reduced from 100% to to 20% in order to be equal to their their fellow student athletes and athletic programs which are now raised from 5% to 20%. I would like to thank these gentlemen and the U of M football team for bringing this mass injustice to my attention. Thank you."
Cut their travel expenses, cut their food budget, reduce football staff, everything across the board MUST be equal to promote diversity and fairness above all costs. After all, the rest of the U of M student athletes are not majority white.
Title IX is going to fuck up some women's scholarships if the university pulls scholarships from the football players. Title IX is a two way street in that it requires the school to grant athletic scholarships in proportional numbers based on campus gender enrollment. Since Mizzou is 52% female, 52% of the scholarships have to be given to females. For each male scholarship cancelled, a female scholarship must be cancelled in order to maintain gender equality. If 48 male scholarships are cancelled, 52 female scholarships must be cancelled.
Won't Mizzou just replace the striking players with new ones? They can but the NCAA limits the number of new football players per academic year to 25. If more than 25 have their scholarships cancelled, the school will not be able to get the football team back to full strength in a single year. Add in the normal loss of twenty to thirty players due to graduation, flunking out, transferring, running out of eligibility, etc each year and you're looking at at least a dozen scholarship imbalance between male athletics and female athletics. The university will have no choice but to cancel the athletics scholarship of at least a dozen female players.
The SJWs will go nuts having Title IX actually hurt them but the courts are clear that it has to provide equality not just a handout for females. And you can bet those girls who lose their scholarships along with all their friends and family members are going to be spitting fire at the football players and outside activists whose actions caused the girls to lose their opportunity at no fault of their own. There will be crying girls on tv talking about how their education has been stolen from them, all because the black activists pushed things too far. It will be just another fault line inside the world of SJWs.
