How do you feel about the past 15 years? Compared to the year 2000, would you say the world was better or worse than now?
>>
downhill since n64 came out
>>
There were no cancerous memes in 2000

i miss compusa.
your pic brought back one of the only positive interactions i ever had with my dad.
>>
Can we get some oldfags in here? Most of our perspectives are biased because, in the year 2000, I was in middle school.

>meanwhile, in 2030

Oh man everything just went downhill in 2015, I mean honestly people weren't so attached to their VRs, although degeneracy was prevalent it wasn't as in your face as it is now. I can't believe children have to grow up in this

Replace 2015 with 2000, replace VR with smartphones, boom applicable to now.

Grass is always

>no memes in 2g
2g was a meme in and of itself.
>>
I miss when everyone wasn't constantly on their phone. Why even go outside if you're just going to do that?
>>
>>55289544
It's infinitely worse. 9/11 destroyed everything.

I feel bad for you fags who didn't even get good chilhoods like I did. Being a white middle-class American child in the Seventies and Eighties was the best thing ever.
>>
>>55289544
the world is undoubtedly worse than it was in 2000. In 2000 we'd only experienced a decade of Clintonesque corruption and manipulation of government to destroy western peoples. Now it's been 25 years.
>>
Way worse now. Life was a lot better back then, and baby boomers won't retire either.
>>
The internet was better before social media came along but it was inevitable really. Considering how important smartphones are to a large % of the population the battle over encryption backdoors is a pretty important issue but this escapes most people who take this technology for granted.

I don't know m8. I know the 90's weren't the pinnacle of paradise, but no way they were as shit as today.

I mean, a lot of the cancerous things of today were already there, but they were still hidden or shunned. It's like some people should have never know what internet is and probably the world would have been a better place.

IMO early 2000's until around 2005-2007 were still good, but still shit after the 9/11. Argentina was in high decadence in the 2000's but the early years weren't no where close to the shit it became since the end of the decade.

>Things were exciting and the future looked bright then we slowed down
Also this. I had a lot of hope in the world back then.
>>
>>55290141
"better" as in what?

Maybe for us because we like newgrounds and ebaumsworld and 4chan but other than that, I can't see how the old internet was better in the grander scheme of things

Was there ever any way to play that maze or was it just a screen saver?

Back then it was mainly nerds and enthusiasts using it - you have to remember this was a time before demented liberal-tier people were using it to push agendas.

2000-2005 awesome, like a mini-90s
2006-2009 sucked

Before you scream "underage!!!", I'm 20.

It's the same. The world will always be shit until it ends.

That's still to young to actually grasp what the world was really like then. Your nostalgia is clouding your vision.

Yeah that's how I remember it in the early 90's. Not many people asked dumb fuck questions and weren't generally annoying, like OP.

I was definitely happier

I still miss the old adult swim bumps and music, and how half the shows were anime.
Now half the shows they air aren't even cartoons...

Sprite Remix is actually back in production. It doesn't taste nearly as good as I remember though.

Probably on the same level. But feels shittier because of the redpill and not as optomisitic as I used to be. Those past 15 years are no longer an unknown. I have more freedom but more responsibilities. Life used to be simpler.

There's also the fact we look back at the past with nostalgia.
>>
i miss AIM being the only way anyone could get in touch with me other than calling. many a plan were made through sending instant messages and my text flirt game was on lock before texting was a thing. i got my first cell phone in 2003 for my 18th birthday but i never actually texted anyone until the iphone came out in 2007. now im constantly plagued by getting text messages at all hours from my boss or other people i dont want to talk to and everyone knows everyone keeps their phone around 24/7 and a non response means theyre being ignored.

but, id say the world is worse. the better technology gets the worse things get. if tech got stuck where it was 15 years ago and stayed that way the world would be a better place.

You didn't even experience those years stop pretending you know what you're talking about like a retarded kid that wants to belong.

I had high hopes in 2000 for the direction of the Internet. Thought porn would eventually get stale and media would dominate. Boy was I wrong.
>>
>>55290998
Also, stop trying to make this happen.

Pic-related is the real deal

Hope has been lost. In the '80s/'90s I never would have dreamed whites and western civilization would be on the path to extinction. Even worse, it's whites themselves that are pushing our own self-annihilation. We thought we would be going to mars and beyond, and enjoying amazing technologies. The only thing we got was the internet, fancy smartphones and videogames that turn people into zombies. We haven't progressed in other areas. Just look at cars, they are all basically the same and get even worse mpg now. Housing is outrageous and the most many people can dream of is living in a kekshed, or being perpetually in debt. Quality of life and wages have decreased steadily for most people since 2000. The future isn't bright.
