2. Discovering twitch. Gaming becomes a source of effortless revenue. If they're smart, they'll invest in a push-up bra. Note that #1 and #2 are not necessarily mutually exclusive.
3. The SJW route. They play a video game just long enough to experience "misogyny", then they run to social media and whine about it. The best part about this one is that if they do it right, they'll never have to play a video game again!
So the reason you haven't met any "gamer girls", Italy, is because the "gamer girls" are all on twitch, facebook, twitter, or in groups of shit players, while you're probably just video games for fun.
I have not bought and played a game on a console in maybe 15 years. Once I switched to PC I saw no need to go back in graphics or controls.

I play PS4 with a specific chat group a couple times a week (inb4 muh "pisspoor" or whatever, it's a way to keep in touch with friends 1200 miles away) and we have a couple girls on each night. Never actually met these two in real life, but they get shat on as much as guys do, and give it right back.
Maybe the problem isn't that women are targeted, but that strangers on video games have no reason to be nice to you, and if calling you a cunt or fag trips up your game, they'll have an advantage.
