To a flat Earther, the more esteemed a researcher is, the more he must be "in" on some conspiracy. NASA can't be trusted, they work for the government! I'll tell you why, because the gravity to the earth is much much much less than they say becuase the earth is FLAT. The mass is more evenly distributed across it so there is less gravitational force to it. Gravity is bullshit as we are taught it.

Because no 1000kg object is a point mass? Parts of the mass are always at a greater distance, and gravity is proportional to 1/distance^2.
Same with two tanks 1 micrometre apart. A tiny part of the tanks are that close, but most is further, up to quite a few metres away.

A point mass is a gross simplification that often works in most simple cases studied in mechanics. Gravity is never actually attraction between point masses, it's a field that varies continuously dependent on mass and distance, it is just often convenient to treat say the earth and moon as point masses as the variation in the mathematical model from reality is tiny and it greatly simplifies the problem.
Also I do maths as a degree, not physics.

They are though. Speed is relative and can only be noticed relatively. In a plane you're moving at mach 0.8, yet you can walk up and down the plane just fine (barring some turbulence). Because the earth is also spinning at the same rate, the difference in velocities is 0 and is not noticeable.
There is no absolute frame of reference for motion.
