The opposite of negatively discriminating a person based on race would be positively discriminating them - giving them an unfair advantage. Which is just what affirmative action is, regardless of what group it's applied to.

My parrents taught me to turn the other cheek and other passive christian bullshit. My commitment to my theology caused years of abuse that scared me emotionally. Not only did this eventually cause me to break someones orbital, but I also left the religion for good. Occasionally I fantasize about going back and tracking these people down. Then subduing them and forcing them watch the people they care about die in incredibly painful ways.
I guess it is what it is. Maybe one day I will, maybe one day I won't.
