The population argument is complete bullshit. It requires that the incoming population have the same mores, beliefs, and behavior as the host population. The invading Muslims, however, are completely antagonistic toward Western values. They won't be productive, and there is no evidence that they will ever be anything but a drain on the welfare state.

Shrinking population is not a problem.
1) europe used to have war after war, constantly killing off shitloads of the population, and the birth rate was high because it was always trying to be "replenished". Europe has been at peace for a long time now. No more wars to curb the population. So naturally, people have less kids. They aren't doing it consciously because of overpopulation, but there are a long list of contributing causes that all relate back to this fact
2) big populations are no longer needed to keep an economy strong. It used to be that population size was correlated with economic strength, but we've reached an age of automation. We have machines doing the work that used to be done by millions of people. Having a large population just means more poor people because all the jobs are already being done.
Really, there is only ONE reason why shrinking population is a bad thing: entitlements.
Social programs like welfare, social security, and socialized healthcare (or medicare for us americans) only work when there is always a larger working force than those receiving benefits. This means the next generation must always be bigger than the previous generation for it to work. That's why these programs were able to work well after WW2, when the elderly population was low and the working population was high. Social entitlement programs are PYRAMID SCHEMES, and the european governments are attempting to bring in refugees in order to keep the working population artificially high and keep the pyramid scheme going. Of course, this is bullshit since immigrants suck up more resources than they produce.
Actually, there's one more reason: the politicians offering out gibsmedats and amnesty to the immigrants are the ones who the immigrants will vote for. Basically, they're just importing votes so they can remain in power. The US has been doing this for a long time. Democrats love to bring in more and more mexicans because mexicans vote democrat. Simple as that.

Furthermore, the way to get a stable birthrate is to let it naturally fall into where it's actually at equilibrium. If you keep importing fugees, the birth rate will remain low because you're keeping it artificially high and it will naturally keep trying to get lower. Le Chatelier's principle and all that. Do you think that a low population rate means it will always be low? Do you think it will remain under 2.1 forever and ever until there are no europeans left? That's not how it works. Read up on how populations always adjust to meet equilibrium

Yes, now automation can do jobs you needed lots of people to do before, but you still need human customers. If nobody buys your product, then it's a net loss for you. And a shrinking population means less customers, specially in essencial poducts, and in banking, it won't allow to create more debt.
