"No soliciting" signs don't work on them the first time (since they're technically not trying to get money, rather doing a "social service") however defying a specific request not to harass you in your own home is against the law in nearly every municipality outside of the deep south.

There is absolutely no reason to believe your story aside from the fact that other people believe it and it's old. There are dozens if not hundreds of other common beliefs, some of which have more followers than yours. Your own religion is also fractured and many of the sects hold contradictory and mutually exclusive views. Even single sects often preach confusingly dichotomous sermons advocating for a variety of things which make no sense. It's literally impossible to understand your religion or take anything it teaches to heart if you aren't indoctrinated from an early age, any amount of free though makes it laughably stupid to look at from a distance. The handful of actually useful lessons it contains are common sense (Don't kill people, don't steal things, don't partake in all sorts of disease-spreading behaviors) and many of the rest are completely useless in modern life (women on periods aren't a health hazard thanks to modern hygiene products, pork is safe to eat, don't need to know who you can take as a slave and who you can just rape and kill).
You know how you feel looking at natives chanting and running around in circles while holding feathers and animal skulls? And they tell stories about "the great all-father" rolling the hills out and the bison stampeding across the sky and their hooves punching holes and creating stars? And how the natives insist that if they don't lay cornmeal in a certain pattern the rain won't come and the ant-men from the other lands will invade? You know that mix of confusion, fear, and artistic curiosity you feel when you see people doing that sort of shit?

I was going to sage the thread and simply tell the guy you replied to that what he said was a very simplistic way of addressing the situation, and I was going to sage it to avoid a large, drawn out battle of sorts. I just think that constantly resorting to a meme as some type of reflexive insult is very child-like, and does not make Christians look better than the supposed immature atheists they are confronting.
