Half the users to kikechan to spend 98% of their time complaining about 4chan after the kekenning. Also IMO the tripfags kept a lot of it alive, creating most of the threads and keeping a tight knit community spirit plus lots of the OC, so after they were chased off and half the userbase had left it just sort of died.
