I know with my time in the marines it was such a culture shock and everything the world had taught me was flipped upside down. I think it needs to be in military training also but I was pretty redpilled before entering the military and even then the culture of killing and intolerance that is encouraged was kinda shocking.

Hence why the South didn't ratirfy the corwin amendment which would have made it so the Federal government couldn't interfere with slavery and why secessionist movements date back to the 1820s and 30s.
There was almost a civil war under Jackson for this very reason but he compromised with the south and reduced this disproportionate taxation.
Abraham Lincoln did no such thing going as far to be the only US President to order a naval blockade agaisnt his own nation
The reason fort Sumter was attacked was because it was located in Virginia after they seceded and was being used to enforce a naval blockade on them which has been an internationally recognized act of war since time immemorial.
