Billions and billions of galaxy's are not worth one human life, because whether they cease to exist or not, they don't care.

The shear magnitude of indifference non-sentient space has is beyond your anthropomorphizing childness views on reality. It doesn't matter if space is an endless material void, it's still a void.

Not only that, but, if there's one alien, then there's billions, millions of those who should have made some sort of contact by now. It's called the "Fermi paradox", google it.

Your Magic men in the sky, aren't there.

Well, in an entirely rational assessment, if I had INFINITE power, it is no more difficult or more expensive to create a planet, a solar system, a galaxy or an entire cosmos of over 100 billion galaxies (or more if we could see further). So, why not? It IS pretty, isn't it? And impressive. God bless. :-)

What I'm gonna say is more philosophical than scientific, but listen to me. I once heard from a scientist that the Universe favors chaos. I don't know a lot about Entropy, but since existance favors disorder insted of order, there is something wrong with this world. The normal course would be for every particle in existance to be as far as possible from each other, which apparently is millions of kilometers. In some occasions, some small masses could emerge, but that would be the most order that should be found in this Universe. Instead, we got stars, planets, black holes, etc. And through abiogenesis, we got living organisms. So...
...what if viruses are a means of increasing entropy? Think about it. They are the simplest "lifeform" (barely even life) that can be found. They do not reproduce on their own. Their only purpose is to dissolve other lifeforms (order) into lifeless matter (chaos). If they cannot fulfill their role, they will sooner than later break down into simpler molecules (again chaos). What if the theory mentioned above is true? What if Universe itself wants chaos, and all this order is simply an error? In that case, there should indeed be mechanisms to increase entropy. And they would first target the most intricate formation that exists. Which is life.

>Believe your spec of dust is the sole purpose of all this

Why do people believe this?

>The universe, and everything in it, exists for man!

That is essentially what you hear, but it is biblically NOT the case at all.

All these things exist for God, and for God alone, NOT for man.

>Colossians 1:16

>For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.

Why then did God create these things? Simple:

>Psalm 143:8

>Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you shining stars.

God is glorified by his creation. Man is merely an agent in this glorification, in that man is able to discern the existence of God through nature so that man might render unto God the glory due him:

>Romans 1:18-21

>The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.

Seriously, do any of you folks even READ the book before making such asinine statements?

>You believe the world was created just for man!

Only apostates believe that nonsense.

So people aren't allowed to quote scripture when other people misinterpret scripture now. Let's just let everyone be an ignorant dick because fuck it

>>55245092
>what is quantum mechanics
QM isn't non-deterministic; things don't happen without cause or reason. It is actually very well understood how these phenomena work. We just don't necessarily understand a lot of the underlying reasons -why- these things behave the way that they do, but that will come in time.
>>
>>55245092
>what does this even mean
You cannot reasonably say that things in space (like, rocks, for instance) are OUT OF CONTROL because they are beholden to gravity. They will bend and move based on this rule of reality alone. The very shape of the Earth is a product of gravity.

Look at the sun. It sure is a logical thing that you can determine what it is and what it does. It's solid matter being acted upon by gravity. The sun is not OUT OF CONTROL. If it were under no control, it wouldn't exist at all.

And if the matter that made up the sun existed in the universe, but Gravity didn't exist (or, at least, didn't act as it does), then the force we know that would act as a CONTROLLING force in the universe would be the weak nuclear force. Or the strong nuclear force. I am getting kind of fuzzy here.

If things can fall down, there is order in the universe. If, through no discernible force, matter flies off in every direction forever, then that matter is OUT OF CONTROL. Since that does not happen, there is control in the universe; Gravity.
>>
>>55245609
> but since existance favors disorder insted of order

It doesn't. If that was the case, there would be no ordered structure to the universe at all. What you're thinking of is the second law of thermodynamics, which states that entropy must either increase or stay the same in an isolated, cyclic system.

If we assume that the entire universe is bounded, then this means that the entropy of the universe must also increase with time. But if it is unbounded, then entropy is merely exchanged between various systems over time.

They have made contact and have been since forever. The evidence is forever everywhere.

As for why you, Joe blow, can't walk out your door and get a hand job from Mquim Ftagrud, the extra-terrestrial hooker, that's obvious.

The existence of intelligent ET life will completely tear down every single established religion in the world. This is good, but will cause a gigantic shit storm of problems. Despite all of our old mythologies being misinterpretations of ET visitors anyway. They were all multi-being pantheons with similar roles and attributes that piloted flying "chariots" which blasted great spouts of "fire" at eachother in between fucking Human women and leaving hybrid offspring here. Anyway the point is just because average people have no clue, it doesn't mean literally everybody also has no clue.
>>
>>55245562
This new Pope accepts anything. He's a massive Kek. However, despite the claim that ETs will have no effect on religion, it really will completely destroy it. It's called damage control. "Haha, guys, haha, no way will aliens mean all of this is nonsense" is clearly damage control.

How many people would say they'really lying if they appear publicly and claim they or another race is directly responsible for our design and creation, not some "God" we believe in?

The only thing random and out of control is my attempts at suppressing my homosexuality.

Why couldn't God have created all other galaxies and civilizations in them and simply not tell them everything to not blow up their primitive minds, since it's not like it was the point of their life anyway?
