99% of people get tattoos for attention. If you have a real, valid reason to get one (military service, prison time, death of a close friend/family member are the few I can think of), then get one, else you just look like a faggot, but even those aforementioned categories can still make you look like a faggot if it's large, gaudy, and for attention instead of a personal reminder for yourself.

I have two myself; one I got in memory of the death of my best friend, and the other is a small vegvisir that I got due to the state of affairs at the time.
