i really like the bush here, i live on the coast but most neighbourhoods have lots of undeveloped bush. back in california it was pretty much just trees on the side of the road but no real nature unless you went to runyon canyon, and there were shitloads of yuppies doing fake hiking there
also the beaches are not even comparable. the beaches i hade been to in california were a trek to get to to start off with, and were pretty much only good for a bonfire on the sand and sunbaking, rather than actual swimming
at my first househere, the beach was a 5 min walk down the hill and had great waves and really clean, blue water
we occasionally got sharks and shit but only a couple people have drowned or gotten eaten in my area since i moved here
also the water in cali was so dirty and full of trash, i know there are better 'surfer' places to live, mostly in norcal but the beaches in cali are nothing compared to the ones here
the bush isnt like the forests are in america, its less dense and the trees arent as high
its also more dry and less green, but i like it
i think it would be cool to go camping in the proper forest in america like in the moves with the tall pine trees and bears and lakes and shit, but i didnt have that at my old home in cali so i dont miss it or anything
