Nobody knows why the Great Pyramid is how it is. It's possible Khufu was interred in what we assume to be the Queen's Chamber and the King's Chamber is a fake. It's possible that Khufu's death was mistimed. It's possible that Djudefre deliberately screwed over his father in the afterlife.
