Jews have a habit of worshiping their own oppression.

Because it gives them power they otherwise wouldn't have. This is why so many kikes have made up stories about the holohoax. Jew soap, lamp shades, anne frank's diary, more than half the holohoax survivor stories, etc. Most of those that truly did survive embellished their stories. This is why in Europe it is illegal to question and/or debate the holocaust. If you do, you go to prison.
All these lies weren't for nothing. Jews are very adept psychologists, and they very much understand the power sympathy holds. It's something they're encouraged by their holy texts to exploit in non-jews (goyim), and sometimes just by their very nature, so that they main gain power, money, and support.

If you look at it from the perspectives of the priests who were the Jewish leaders you can see why they wanted to do it. The goal of the Priests is to keep the Jewish identity intact. If there is no Jewish identity they have no power.
To this they need to reinforce the us vs them. Us vs them is the basis of ALL tribal identities. They need to say we 'we' are better or special. And so the priests need to rationalize their defeats. If they are the chosen people why did they lose? Well they find a way to turn their lose into a win.
In a way the Jews became stronger after being holocausted because they turned their 'lose' into a win by gaining complete immunity from any political attacks, a country of their own, and tons of "we're so sorry" cash from goyim.
In a way it's very admirable because it's such a strong tactic. On the other hand it's very whiny.
