I'm sure this is unpopular but I'm a fatalist. I think politics is a)an inevitable progression of a society and b) beholden only to broad cultural-economic trends hat an individual has no control over
Moreover I don't have much morality at all apart from finding some things beautiful and others ugly so I don't really care what happens politically because it has little to do with that. I do think the loss of religion was a terrible, if inevitable occurrence.
