Nah man I played this game and mastered it - if anything it is a red pilling game away from socialism
socialism leads to debt and then the IMF jacks up your interest rate and you're literally caught in a debt spiral
the only way to play this game is to appease the socialists on your first term, while also bringing in entrepreneur schemes, technology training, privatization to expand the economy and convert people from socialist to capitalist - and then by your second term you can win the vote by going full capitalist and dropping all the programs and replacing them with private school tax credits, private healthcare tax credits
also flat tax
unfortunately the only way I can win is by bringing in internet censorship, which is pretty ironic and some aspects of police state but only as much as we have in the UK I guess. once it's running prosperously with a maxed GDP you can roll back the police systems though, I guess you might be able to uncensor all internet activity too but I haven't tried
