Hello Latvians. You don't have to respond but I've been doing some research on the peoples of the Baltic countries. Have you or someone you know participated in the Baltic Way? If so, how was it? What's the general attitudes of Latvians today?

People with broken mentality that comes after being subjugated and dominated throughout the centuries. Living on the verge of poverty yet still clinging to national virtues. Typical latvian will rather have 150EUR to himself, then allowing 100 other latvians have 100 EUR instead (if given choice). Corrupt to the core, hard to get trust. Lives by the notion kill or get killed steal or someone else is going to steal it before you. I guess that comes with being poor yet somewhat a civilized country. Strong anti-russian, pro-american propoganda. Any criticism of the west flags you a russian propogandist even if you dislike both the west and the east. Even if you arent a russian at all.
Other than that latvians are very peaceful and cheerful folk that takes pride in their nation. Strong dislike to russians, although the same can be said about the russians. They hate latvians. Yet we all live in the same country. Refuges might actually be a good thing, as it would introduce a third "force" in our mix, forcing latvians and russians to thaw a bit toward each other.
