I should have ignored the story because Politico is worse than Huffington Post, but I read it.
So their contention is that he claimed in his book that he attended Westpoint under a scholarship and when they checked, Westpoint had no record of him having attended and they don't do scholarships.
Meanwhile, in his book what he actually said was that as an ROTC member, he attended a dinner where a general Westmore suggested an endorsement for Carson to attend since the application requires a political or military endorsement. He turned it down since he wanted to get into medicine.
