I don't understand this way of thinking by whites. In school we basically learned that "native americans" were not one entity but many different tribes with different lifestyles, and they often fought against they each. Different tribes made alliances with different countries. It's strange how people frame it as "settles vs indians" when in reality it was just a clusterfuck.
Plus, most of us died from disease, not white hands. The vast majority of native americans were wiped out. I don't understand why liberals don't embrace this point, since IMO it makes our history seem stronger: the white settles had a hard enough time dealing with the few natives that were left.
