They are a mix of hundreds of ethnicities, with no history or culture, that has NOTHING in common with the "white" europeans.
As a matter of fact the entire "white vs black" idea is purely american, in europe they have a race for every nation. You can distinguish swedes from germans, germans from spaniards, spaniards from the dutch etc.
The very notion of a "white person" is testament of the non-whiteness and racial meltingpot of the americans.

A race is just a specific mixture of alleles for superficial traits. What defines each "race" is just arbitrarily selecting a group of one or more of those traits.
People who are obsessed with race clearly don't have a grasp on genetics or evolutionary biology.
