Why hasn't the free market fixed single mothers?
>>
>>53743625

Because it hasn't been allowed to.
>>

How did we deal with single mothers pre-1960s?

I'm all for helping a baby have a healthy life, but I think child welfare is helping women not think of the consequences making terrible early life decisions.

If there was no welfare for this, there's be less single mothers.
>>
>>53743625
because the government has thought they could fix them by just making the ex husband pay child support even years after the kid is 18 and give scholarships for the kids even if they're complete failures
>>
>>53743845
Single mothers pre 1960 were shamed and looked down upon, and rightfully so.
>>
>>53743845
>before 1960
They were either helped by the family, managed to somehow remarry, or get rid of the kid.
That was pretty much it.
Fatherless children wouldn't last long.
>>
>>53743625
because they don't need a fix. Just let them be. Nobody gives a shit
>>
>>53743625
The gov is subsidizing them
aka it hasnt been allowed to
>>
>free market
>existing
pick one

Why do you think everything's going wrong?
>>
>>53743625
Because welfare supports and even encourages single motherhood.

Remove welfare, no more single mothers.
>>
Let me get a drink and explain single women economics 101
>>
who needs fathers when you have government checks?
>>
>>53743625
Government gives them incentives that break the power of the free market.

Government is the problem, not the solution.
>>
>>53744024
no they need to be spayed anon its the responsible thing to do
>>
>>53743625
>Explain supply and demand
>explaining the concept of incentives

My Based Economics Professor: If the government pays people to be poor then more people will be poor

Free Market with single moms: Kids starve, mom has to eat the dead bodies of the kids to stay alive

Our situation with single moms: We pay for women to make bad decisions
>>
Because women are irrational and economics can only explain choices made by rational actors
>>
>>53743625
because government gives them money for some reason

So, you're in your 30's and dating. So, you're looking around, and your single lady options are this:

You've got the options of dating girls in their 20's.

Their value is pretty high because, lets face it, looks a depreciating asset. Women (8/10) age like milk. That's the truth. So, they're nice eye candy, fun and bubbly.

But, while they're pretty to look at, there's no intelligence there. There's no life experiences, there's no hardship, there's no personality aside from facebook hugbox and bullshit.

So, if that trade off is worth it to you, great. It isn't for me, because, I'm sorry, but I like being able to talk to my other half about her interests and shit. I can't have some pretty brain dead thing that just drains resources.

That brings us to women in their 30's.

Looks are fading at this point, so it's now time to start looking at quality.
If they're single, they're going to be defective. You have to figure out why.

>Sperglord?
Okay, maybe they have an autist level interest in something. That can be tolerated if they have any sort of intelligence and social skills. But they're single. So, there's something bad lurking there.

>retarded at picking partners.
So, they just dumped that cheating guy they were with, and are looking for something better. Hopefully they're intelligent, but if they decided to marry someone that terribad, you have to evaluate how smart they actually are. Aside from feels.

>Sluts that have realized they're no longer pretty.
Basically worthless, why would you want horribly used meat? Trash.

>Single parents.
While the RARE single parent can be worth it (basically, epic girl that got knocked up), you're looking at someone who has made multiple poor decisions AND you have a fuck trophy as another problem and resource drain.

Why are you going to have to deal with all the bullshit that comes with a 30 year old female, AND a kid?
>>
>>53744849
atleast with the sluts, you can have porn star level sex, and not have a fucking kid.

They're literally the worst good out there. NO one wants them.

That's why the free market hasn't done shit about them. It's like asking why people don't buy biofuels. Who wants something that's more expensive then all the other competition (you've got a fucking kid to deal with) and performs worse?

That's why, like biofuels, single women are subsidized by the government.
