I'd like to propose a question to /pol/:
Why has ISIS not attempted to attack Israel? Since it's inception, ISIS has taken over large parts of Syria, infiltrated Iraq, attacked Iran, constantly threatened Egypt, attempted to enter Lebanon, yet not once, not even verbally attempted to attack Israel, even though it controls large border areas along the Golan heights?
It is a duty according to Islam that the city of Jerusalem to be liberated I've heard, so why have these radical Muslims who are out to "spread the true Islam" have not tried to fulfill this duty?
Or could ISIS be the perfect ploy in an Israeli scheme? Consider this:
ISIS serves many purposes that all serve Israel. It has dramatically weakened Syria, attacked Lebanon, destroyed Iraqi heritage and minorities and also attacked border towns in Iran (all Israeli enemies). It is apparent that Israel is benefitting from ISIS weakening all the surrounding Arab states, while also continuing to support the idea that Islam is evil, scary, and crazy, while Israel remains the only 'good' ally to the west. However, why are Israel treating ISIS fighters in its own hopsitals, taking out bombing runs on pro-Assad areas, while Iran and Hezbollah have been arming Christian, Yezidi, and Kurd militias, fighting alongside them to eradicate the ISIS cancer. The US seems to have realized this, and changed stances by removing Iran and Hezbollah from the threat list, while taking a tougher approach with Israel.

Speaking from experience, I remember in the 2006 war with Israel, the IDF bombed a building in the Lebanese town of Qana (google Qana massacre) in which one single building was destroyed, and it had over 40 children below the ages of 10 in it. All died. The images of their deaths, however, were not prevelant in the mainstream media, or RT. Ironically, the same town was the victim of a similar type massacre in the previous war with Israel. So when you see the images of Palestinians on the news, it's not difficult to imagine that many civilians have been slaughtered needlessly.

There was an excellent article on a US news website which I forget the name of. It went into great detail about ISIS' views and having read the Qur'an and a number of other Islamic documents myself it made a lot of sense (not claiming to an expert on Islamic theology before anyone has a go, merely a lay person). ISIS are more focused on uniting Islam (by converted or massacring), then they'll go after the Saturday and the Sunday people (Jews and Christians), probably in that order.
