The Kinsey scale is widely misunderstood. Kinsey developed his scale as a tool to describe a persons sexual HISTORY In a single number for data collection purposes. NOT as a way to quantify a persons sexual orientation as it is so commonly used.
Dr Kinsey would interview you, with a standard set of questions in order to compare large numbers of the population( x percentage of those surveyed had a sexual experience before age 16, etc). He was interested in interviewing as many people with the same questions and collecting as much data as possible. He would ask you about every sexual encounter you have then HE would place you on the scale. You don't place yourself on it.
So many fags today will say shit like " one day I'll feel like 6 the next a 4" or other bullshit. It doesn't work that way. For example, I'm gay but I fucked a few girls during my teenage years before I came to terms with my sexuality(it was pretty bad). Since then I've only been with men, and have zero interest in women.
