If you would prefer the original, most of the Old Testament was written in Hebrew (and an English translation directly is contained in Young's Literal), and the NT is mostly written in Greek.
I am not a purist; the bible can be translated into hundreds of languages, and has been.
I do admire the efforts of the convention that produced the KJV, and used to read that exclusively, and the New KJV maintains that thoughtful process, but in fagern English, and not so much thee and thou.
The gospel message is quite simple, and does not require a linguistic expert to discern.

The Christians accepted the Torah as scripture. It was the only scripture the new church had for decades. It is what Jesus referred to, and taught. There is no dispute between the Jews and Christians as to the contents being the same. They just divide the books up differently, and do not agree that the Messiah is in fact Jesus.
