Instead of being a SJW that made everything taboo, he actually did his job and gave reasons for why various stereotypes and situations happen. I'm doing Philosophy and had to do a bit of Feminism in one module last year as part of the ethics side of things. I was expecting a shitfest of the worst kind of liberal feminism, but what I got was a balanced look at things and sensible approaches.
I go to a fairly top-tier UK university and I think serious academics that study these things do take it seriously and come to reasonable conclusions. The problem is the knowledge and theories that trickle down to idiots who don't understand when they apply and use them to bash people, without actually helping to contribute to feminism. I had an econ professor who really red-pilled me on the national debt and the monetary system. This macro class eliminated any lingerings of faggot libertarian ideas about government intervention in the economy. Cool guy, wore jeans to class because he felt like it.
Had a business law professor who discussed how the supreme court is allowed to change the law to fit their "social" goals through the idea of interpretation. Argued with some liberal students about how there is no meaning for social justice and how it was a shitty concept.
However, I also had a sociology class where the professor made us read a book about how the poor are victims and how drug testing is wrong. She was a cool professor, but her field sort of necessitated a sort of social justice atmosphere in the class.
All in all, it's stupid to believe that all colleges are filled to the brim with progressive liberals. Generalizations are usually rhetorical rather than empirical in nature.
