Yes. I used to feel like I was shunned because of my age and I obviously must have been some immature brat like in my sonicfag days (which preceded my ED days), but now, I'm not so sure. There were only a handfull of people on Oh Internet and they were salty pieces of shit that shot me down whenever I complained about something and dismissed any opinion I had. If I hadn't come out a scarred veteran of being shunned by sonicfag forums, I would definitely have gone into ED without knowing any better, but I feel that I had worked hard to mature and maintain a certain identity. That is, of course, not to say that I stopped making mistakes by that time.
