I think you're right and I hope you're right. Even if you don't like Bernie, I don't see how you could prefer Hillary over him. If you trust the polls as they stand, Bernie beats Trump by a wider margin than Hillary beats Trump. They both still beat Trump though. Any number of things could happen from now until election time though and polls don't always capture everything (remember Ron Paul winning a surprising number of delegates despite the polls saying otherwise).
This whole Oscars shit has really brought to light (for me, at least) just how much more politically divided America is than it was even as little as three or four years ago.
More and more people I know (and in general) have shifted from being moderate, or moderate left/right, to either extreme left or extreme right. People are way more vocal about politics and social issues. The last few years I've watched countless relationships between family, friends, and other loved ones deteriorate because of political differences.
