Basically, syndicalism promotes workers unity and that workers directly control the workspace, the idea being that this creates maximum efficiency.
Anarcho-syndicalism then is there is no boss, everyone is the boss of the work place. It fails because there is no boss/leader creating a guiding path to follow.
Syndicalism proper was actually instrumental in the rise of Italian fascism (although the spirit/concept of fascism is older then the name and movement called fascism)
Basically it can be a very efficient system but removing a leader gives it the same problems democracy has, a very slow drawn out process for the most simple and easiest tasks.
I'm actually for the application of traditional syndicalism to the government itself. Not to the economy but to how the government works internally.

To elaborate how syndicalism works economically, basically the workers unions get full control. You can imagine how this increases inefficiency and skyrockets waste.
However syndicalism when met with nationalism is quite beautiful.
It does not say "rich help the poor" it says "men help yourselves, work with those like yourself and work towards the best"
This is why national syndicalism is far more effective to any other form, any other form of syndicalism promotes endless waste and ineffiency at the expense of the entire nation, eventually causing collapse even in their ideal theories.
