I'm a social worker at a welfare office in the inner city. I'm liberal about a lot of issues. My coworkers are liberals. Our education was liberal based. The guy with the cubicle next to mine has a car covered in bumper stickers, 'Bernie Sanders 2016' and NPR among them. However, I hold an unpopular opinion, considering my colleagues. I believe that the most disadvantaged group in America is poor rural whites. Yes, inner city blacks have a lot of issues and can use all the help they can get, but their position is enviable by comparison.
Poor rural whites live in areas with little or no social services or programs. If they're lucky enough to jump through the hoops to get their SNAP card, the places they can use it are few and far between. Underfunded rural schools make inner city schools look like the Lyceum. The local job market is scant to non-existent.
To add insult to injury, their plight is either ignored or openly mocked. The poor city black is pitied, and there are calls for programs to aid him. The poor country white is somehow at fault for his own lack of resources and education, and few make any move to help him. People who would blush or gasp at the mention of a racial slur will blurt out phrases like "white trash" or "hick" like it's nothing. The aforementioned coworker, the Sanders supporter, affects a stereotypical hillbilly accent when lampooning Trump supporters. Neither he, nor anyone else, sees anything wrong with this.
It's really starting to piss me off.
You work in a welfare office and you complain about white guilt cucks? That's like working in a sewage treatment plant and complaining about the smell of shit.
Why not just put in a transfer for West Virginia? You'd get to help plenty of poor whites there.

I've browsed pol almost daily since 2013, its changed my views on many things like multiculturalism, Islam and feminism. I have a hatred for almost everything the 'regressive' left stands for. They have singlehandedly destroyed the credibility of the old left.
I am still economically leftist, my exposure to pol hasn't changed that.
Why shouldn't a country help its people by giving everyone a fair chance to do well?
Is it not true that corporate greed and influence on government policy is ruining our nations and peoples lives?
Is it not true that excessive wealth inequality is damaging both economically and socially?
I am all for private enterprise but some large and important industries (energy, water) and institutions (healthcare) should be state run for the benefit of everyone and the economy. Affordable or free education should be provided to all at the expense of the super rich so that we can collectively improve our societies and not regress to 3rd world states.

My father passed and I inherited his company. It's a good business with cheap material, a brick foundry. But the employees are complete shit. They're part of a union and utterly worthless.

If I think of America I think of guns, pop culture and freedom. Sure, lots of ignorant baboons but at least they wear their retardation like a badge of honor, use it as a cultural identity, their flag promotes the unity of the country with all these stripes and stars.
Germany is orderly, a country that prides itself on its rules and their citizens who follow them. It's also the country with the biggest responsibility when it comes to destroying Europe with its two world wars and government sanctioned refugee crisis. Their flag waves strong colors, black, red and gold. A dominant flag for a dominant country.
Russia is strong and stubborn to a fault. They live hard lives and don't complain about it. Obviously the entire country is pretty much a shithole but it breeds strong people who can take care of themselves. Their flag represents the cold, the white, the blue but also the burning passion in the red, it all comes together to signify that their country is bleak but there is strength in that.
But Canada, what are they fucking known for? Being "nice", i guess? Is that your role in the world? Being fucking nice? That's not an achievement. Everyone can be nice. It's easy to be nice. You just don't have to say anything bad.
So what did your fucking country decide to put on their flag to show the entire world what Canada is all about? A leaf. A FUCKING LEAF. You decided that you like to slurp your shitty syrup so damn much that you might as well put the fucking leaf that it's made of on the flag. You don't even respect your own country so why the hell should I.
