Redpilled politics aside, it seems that a large percentage of people I know and have met (at home and around the world) are completely fucking retarded. I know that I am obviously not the most intelligent person to grace the planet, but I do have a pretty good general knowledge about many things and more in depth knowledge in the things I enjoy learning/raging about.
I am also not talking fedora level "hurr I am enlightened" bullshit, but even day to day things.
A large portion of people:

>Can't read a whole news article
>Sometimes can hardly read
>When they do read news they don't read past the headline
>Are slaves to empty social media
>Haven't read a book since the one they sort of read in elementary school
>Are incapable of using spell check let alone punctuation in text message or email
>Listen to the exact same shitty song by 20 different 'artists' (But the same few producers) all day
>Are totally incapable of even minor repairs on anything
>Game all day, but have zero idea of how to reset their router when it lags
>Have the attention span of a gold fish
>See positive/helpful advice from intelligent people as shaming or bigotry
>Have incredibly small world views
>Are completely clueless about basic geography
>Have next to no historical knowledge
>Are completely unable to cook anything
>Have no clue about human health
>Have the emotional strength of a 5 year old
I could go on and on, but it just seems that a large portion of people are just stupid as fuck.

as an aside, should I learn German? I would really like to be able to read Nietzsche and Goethe in their original languages, as they were, as I understand, the height of non-Russian western writing in terms of depth and subtlety. Further, my family/clan came from Bavaria in 1729 to America (as mennonites, and many speak Pennsylvania Dutch) and it would be cool to speak the language of my ancestors.
