I used to live on this reservation. I've lied a LOT of places in the U.S., but this was the most racist place I've ever been. These people blame "the white man" for every single problem they have, and think they are justified in drinking and drugging themselves to death, and taking their children with them.
I worked at the local paper in the city where the 1-year-old girl was punched to death by her aunt. I remember this woman coming into our "office" one night during layout, and she was talking with the editor about how she and her friends were kicked off the bus "just for being indians," because the driver was white. She then said how they were just having a good ol' time on the bus passing a bottle back and forth and how they were giving shit to an elderly white man for looking at them.

Income is irrelevant, what matters is net worth. I know people making $120k but are up to their eyeballs in debt and will probably die alone (after the gold digging wives leave them) and penniless in some state-funded nursing home. I would hardly call that "success". True success is building a family and providing for them while also building enough wealth to free yourself from the shackles of employment.
The United States has the best living conditions. Just look at these amazing homes with lush green lawns. The rest of the world doesn't have this.
