However, carrying the rifle in your arms, or in front of you with a magazine inserted is, as far as I'm concerned, an invitation for the police of other armed citizens to question you or even take you down. Most of the countries that served in world war 1 had colonies, so it would be totally reasonable to have a black "person" as a character.
