Understandable, but the Alt-Right is going beyond this - they are attacking the freedom of fellow conservatives to disagree with them. People with differing viewpoints aren't just that, they become enemies. Traitors, even. The new American laager doesn't abide diversity of opinion.
It's sadly inevitable perhaps that with white men feeling increasingly threatened that survival is starting to well, trump ideals. But let's just spare a moment to think about what we may be losing.
Trump is a man who believes in restricting the press, in controlling the internet, in forcing Apple to give up data on individuals to the Federal Government.
