Can someone explain what the UK actually gained from Brexit? I've just been hearing a lot of news about an incoming recession; the potential split between England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland; the UK losing shitloads of jobs and the pound taking massive loses; and losing access to the single market system that the EU provided. Nothing really about what they've gained from all this, or even how it compares to what they've given up.
Also, what are the chances of this whole brexit thing doesn't work out and them having to crawl back to the EU or beg US for help?
