Nice thread.

I don't know much about origami so I can't r8 your creations, but I'm enjoying what you've posted.

Your friend did a bit better but it seems like you may have forgotten a set of folds, which is fine; this model isn't exactly as easy as it looks. Sure, it's all the same folds repeated but they're all preparatory for the final sculpting. And I say sculpting, because you aren't folding the paper so much, at the end, as you are flexing and sliding it a curved position. I think you'll have it down in a couple more tries.

Good job, actually.

These just need some fine tuning but they turned out alright.

Oh, the frigid wind seems to have enticed him, and he's taken flight!
>>
>>535261
that's cute, are you really going to make 1000 tho?
>>
>>535237
Good, now try and make it smaller and smaller still. This will give you better control at folding.

I agree wholeheartedly, anon. Origami is much more than just folding paper.

What kind of tools do you guys use (if any)?

I'm thinking of getting a bone folder and rubber cement. Would they be useful purchases or are there better options?
>>
>>535968
None. Use your hands.
>>
>>535968
rubber cement.... no
I do use a paperclip sometimes to open up folds that are really small, but then I have really big hands.... When you start with 1.5 inch by 1.5 inch paper it gets interesting.
>>
>>535968
The best tools are your ten fingers.
>>535984
Even with big hands, you can fold small, precise models - you really "only" need good eyes (and practice, of course!).

But doesn't all the stuff coming from Pepakura require adhesive?
>>
>>535986

Ummh, guys, there's some crazy batshit good idea going on at 1:39. Must...resist...urge...to...fold...
