idk if works but try.
Its for 3.1.5.
I want patch for High Pepakura Resolution Version
>>
0001EC84: 0F95C3 -> 32DB90
00092C7A: 01 -> 00
00094DA0: 894108 -> 909090

Open pepakura3.exe in a hex-editor and go to the offset on the left.
You'll find the bytes before the arrow there, change them to the ones after the arrow.

I'll do a proper update to the patcher when I can get my hands on the latest HR version.

ok here is the hd version....I would like the patches for both like you did last time for me

Odd, I'll look into it. In the meanwhile have you tried re-entering your serial?

>have you tried re-entering your serial?
Sorry. I don't know why I didn't think of that.
That fixed it.

Thanks, it's working perfectly now.

well it didn't work...it still asks for the file password for locked files...that's the patch I need
>>
>>531125
File has malicious!
>>
>>531141
I found an error in high resolution bat-file - you need to change "std" to "hires". But standard version must work. Which file did you run? Try to run "std.bat" as administrator.
>>
>>531170
using the hires one and following what you told me to try did not work either....locked files are still locked and asks for password
>>
>>531177
Looks like you have permission issue.
Here is corrected patch for Hi-Res version. Run "hires,bat" as administrator. If it doesn't work, i put already patched file too.

>>
>>531207
Why don't you just manually patch it?
>>
>>531208
don't know how...and don't have the program to do it...
>>
>>531209
The first time I heard about these patches I didn't know how to do it either. But it's really easy.
Also there are dozens of programs that can do it, most of them free and/or open source.

I personally recommend the freeware HxD, but any hex editor will do it, basically.
http://mh-nexus.de/en/hxd/

Just remember to backup your .exe file when starting out and you will be fine even if things go wrong.
>>
>>531235
ok I downloaded and installed the program...opened pepakura hi res in it and I see a lot of scary numbers and letters....can you walk me through on what I need to change....explain it in a way that a 2 year old will understand...lol....also then manual numbers posted is for the standard version....would those work for the hires
>>
>>531270
>also then manual numbers posted is for the standard version
Sorry, I didn't realize that. It won't work.
Do you even care about the standard version? If not, then give me a while and I'll try to figure out the numbers for the hi-res version. If it works I'll post a little tutorial to help you out.

Wish me luck
>>
>>531270
>>531289 here

Hell yeah, I did it.
Stupid numbers, I did manage to fuck up a single byte and it was giving me errors all over, I was about to give up and say we would have to wait for our regular patcher, but I was able to catch my mistake and fixed it.

Manual instructions for 3.1.7 Hi Res:
0001EFE4: 0F95C3 -> 32DB90
00093ECA: 01 -> 00
00095FF0: 894108 -> 909090

I'll do a little tutorial on how to use this on my next post.

>I'm so proud. But all credits go to the original patcher, I merely copied his solution.

Patching mini tutorial

It's actually really simple.
There are 3 instructions. Each instructions has 3 sets of hex numbers. Let's take the first instruction:
0001EFE4: 0F95C3 -> 32DB90

The first number, "0001EFE4" is the offset
The second number "0F95C3" is the original thing you'll find in the program, it's here only as a guide so you know what you'll have to change.
And finally, the last number "32DB90" is what you have to change the previous number into. This is the actual patch.

So, first you make a copy of the pepakura3h.exe to be your backup so you can revert it if you fuck up, and open pepakura3h.exe in HxD (make sure you don't open it as read-only).
Then click Search>Goto... (or hit ctrl+G) and in the dialog that appears you paste the offset (which is 0001EFE4 for the first instruction) and click OK.

The program will scroll down to the specified place and the cursor will be on the first byte (couple of numbers) of the original numbers (in this case it should be on 0F, and you will see 95 C3 right next to it)
Then you simply change those numbers to the ones in the instructions so:
0F will became 32
95 will became DB
and C3 will became 90.
The modifications you do will show up in red. (pic related)

Now all you have to do is repeat these steps for the other two instructions.
00093ECA: 01 -> 00
00095FF0: 894108 -> 909090

Then save the file, open pepakura and test it. If you followed everything correctly it should work fine and you're done.
If anything goes wrong (it shouldn't), just use your backup and try again carefully

This is it. If you still have any doubts, just let me know.

>>531290
Truly original patcher is unknown. Man who post auto-patches here copied his work, then i did the same.
>>
>>531294
thanks so much....it workd
>>
>>531313
Glad to hear it.
We both learned new things today.
>>
>>531314
yeah I copies and saved your tut....so unless they come out with 3.18 soon, before I forget how to do it then I can stumble along like I did today....again thanks....
>>
>>531314
yeah I managed to stumble through with minimum mistakes....I saved your tut so if they don't come out with 3.18 any time soon before I forget how to do this well at least I will have your tut to help me stumble along like I did today....lol thanks again
>>
>>531317
Anytime..
And as long as they don't change the way it works I should be able to figure out the offsets on newer versions as long as you can find the .exe. So, one more anon to speed up the patching, I guess.

But if they change something, I guess we're fucked, lol.
>>
>>531294
changes definitely work, has anyone figured out how to get around needing a keycode, or do I need to find something for that?
>>
>>531455
You need a serial number - numbers from standard edition won't work.
>>
>>531486
ahh, that makes sense. any known codes floating about?

It allows editing for password-protected files. Very useful when you need to change scale or layout.
