I missed heaps of good shots, but it was fucking cold. Hopefully next time I don't pussy out.
This photo, yes I wanted the sheep to come close by to fill up the foreground.

Taranaki, some where on on the highway.
really wanted to shift to the right but no space. Hopefully I can wait till night so less traffic. I really love that fucking farmhouse too.
somewhere on Forgotten World Highway. Yea, I wanted the fence wires straight but no space, standing on the edge in this.
>>2874966
why didn't you come in closer to them though
>>2874968
kinda cool, it'd look better in 16:9 or something wider though in my opinion
>>2874970
would've been cooler if we can see the mountain clearly
>>2874979
this is nice and probably my favourite, but the sky takes up too much of the photo and there aren't really any thing interesting like clouds up above, should've shown more of the awesome landscape man
Again, somewhere on Forgotten World Highway.
Wild goats and possums everywhere, it was really fucking awesome.

I hate the colours in this. The grass is a shit colour. Too much black progressing. Whites could be lifted. And crop half way up so the sheep are at the bottom of the frame.
>>2874974
That halo. Play with the lighting, its a bit dark desu
>>2874972
Move the horizon down in the frame.

>why didn't you come in closer to them though
I wish I could've, its a farm, there was fencing. Next time I should just ask the farmer if I can hop in for a few.
16:9, sounds good yeah, if you want crop it for yourself and post here? I don't know which parts you'd want to keep and remove.
> would've been cooler if we can see the mountain clearly
absolutely, but this was the clearest it was gonna get for a while. I'll try again in a summer night to get stars in too.
iPhone snaps coming through
>>2874990
> it's a bit dark desu
I could send you the RAWs if you want, it was bracketed so you have a lot of options to play around with the tones. Mark the areas you reckon needs more working on?
On the way up
1/2
2/2
just quick exports through VSCO
heh another
>>2874966
Great landscape, has a wonderful foreground, middleground and background. The sky is so dramatic and interesting. Those goats or llama lambs are fucking adorable the way they look at the camera. Crop sky slightly and crop grass liberally
>>2874983
>Taranaki
amazing gradient sky and reflection.
photoshop out the wires
>>2874987
is this a sky replace composite? how did you light road, with headlights or flash?
great photo
how is your image quality this bad with a full frame
>>2875017
thanks heaps, this is just a single photo. I do have an external flash, I flashed twice on the road at 1/32, in intervals of 10 seconds. Kept the shutter open for 30 secs, no star trails because UWA 17mm on ff
>>2875016
I honestly tried, I gave up after a few minutes, was too tired to keep editing. If you or anyone wants to have a go at it, feel free to do so.
>>2875015
>those goats or llamas
sheep, they are most definitely sheep. Thanks heaps m8, you're the first to suggest to crop sky, I'll give that a go actually and see if I like it. Thanks man :)
>>2875019
nah no split toning, I did a little colour balancing in Ps but just to make it a tad more vibrant. That pink glow is all natural sunset :)
>>2875020
probably my editing, I still can't edit cleanly, defs need to get better at that.
>>2874966
Crop in then, far too much empty foreground. Pretty good shot otherwise.
>>2874970
Fuck you
>>2874979
Nice light, but why the fuck is the horizon centred? The sky is so empty and boring, while the foreground is actually interesting, so why did you frame this like a retard?
>>2874982
See above
>>2874983
Colours are nice, that's pretty much it
>>2874987
Subject is so important for astro, without any interesting subject to compliment the sky, the image feels boring and unbalanced. You see where I'm going with this?
The rest are real meh as usual.
>>2875024
> Nice light, but why the fuck is the horizon centred?
yea it is rather boring but right below the frame was empty with grass at ground level and fenced, it was ugly, I don't have the photo anymore but I did take one portrait oriented with Mt. Taranaki being on top of the frame. Plus I wanted the house to be low in the frame.
> Subject is so important for astro, without any interesting subject to compliment the sky, the image feels boring and unbalanced. You see where I'm going with this?
yep I defs see what you mean here, got any suggestions for subjects in this context? Next time I visit I could try compose a better version. All I can think of is a self portrait. Here I was just going for the leading line and them being angled in the same direction.
ta m8
kys but decent photos. I'd add C&C but everything's been said. Not bad tripfag.
>>2874990
desu better than OP but I hate that aspect ratio, crop clouds down too to make it more like 16:10 or 16:9
>>2874983
Should've take a dip omi and waited for water to settle, would've been worth the photo.
>>2874976
The top left corner is a little dark, that annoys me, other than that, good fucking job on this.
>>2874974
I like how the shape of the bright bit is mirrored shape of the landscape of the hill. Shit edit, great frame.
>>2874970
hang yourself from an apple tree
>>2874987
nice. I'd buy this print.
>>2874983
Let me add also, this you should've shot a few minutes earlier, you can see the blueness coming in on the top. Or at least change that in post. No good to see a gradient like that imo
>>2875022
neat!! congrats mate. loved it!

I agree with this guy regarding the first photo - and the grass in other photos like >>2874982 and >>2874979
Your composition feels like it needs a bit of work. In photos like >>2874982 the foreground really doesnt add anything, and just distracts from the other more interesting aspects of the photo. I'd have just cropped it something like this tbqh.
>>2874983
Nice. The angled wires >>> than if they were straight imo. Dont worry about photoshopping them out either.
>>2874987
Pairs nicely with the one above it. Though standalone it feels like it has too much foreground. Pretty good still Omi
