So I shot my first "concert" a few weeks ago and all I had on me was my film camera. All these are with a Nikon FE, Kodak Ektar, and a 135/3.5 and 35/2.8, manual focus. Critiques would be appreciated as this is my first time shooting non-candid portraiture/concert.

Okay that's the collection, comments and critiques would be loved. It was a cloudy day so the light was pretty diffused, but it ran out quickly with 100 iso film and only being able to go to 2.8.

Skin colors too yellow.
Should've used Provia.

Would just making the pictures colder in post be good enough or would that not work too well?
shit angles
shit crop
shit composition
absolute shit
but keep shooting you will improve

this
>>2857844
>>2857855
these are your best
you're shooting fine for the most part because shooting in the sun is usually easy as hell as opposed to bar lighting but your composition needs some touching up. >>2857856 would've been a much better shot if you angled yourself to fit them closer
and as that dude said, if you're interested in shooting bands more then the only real way to get better is to keep doing it

Who is this guy
>Noritsu scan
ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING
OP, I hope you got the negatives so you can do a decent scan on your own.
>>2857895
you are speaking with no other but the well known Carlos Meñito Nuñez!
Also, pretty much what they are saying. Personally I wanted to try shooting a concert analog - Ive been covering all the concerts in a venue this year - digital really is luxury in comparison: no shooting in bursts, high isos, high resolution for cropping etc, so it sounds like quite a cool challenge.
Some constructive criticism: you tend to give too much headroom for the musicians,
see: >>2857843 >>2857849
although something like this >>2857860
due to the cool location of the gig can work.
Is this fella the audience? >>2857847

I use thedarkroom.com so I get negatives back, but I haven't invested in a good scanner and I'm still saving for my d750 for dslr scanning.

Bless. You're right with how digital would be a lot more forgiving. Especially for my first time when I couldn't check compositions inbetween songs to see what I was doing right/wrong.
I would have loved to get tighter but from some angles that is as close as I could get with my 135mm. Still saving for a nice 70-200 or similiar for that purpose.
And yep, the concert was just in the middle of a town center area, so two kids with their mom came there right after their karate lessons. So the yellow really caught my eye.
