Curious: what is the point of these threads? They seem so show-offy to me. I mean sure it may be interesting to know what camera someone is using if you know the photographs that person took but why would anyone care for what else you carry around on a photography board? Would make more sense to me to post all those items in their respective general threads.
(Xpro2, Voigtlander 25mm f4, Kaxinda/Meike 35mm 1.7, Fuji 16-50, EF-X20 flash, Instax SP-1 printer, little multitool card thing that fits in a credit card slot, 3 Fuji batteries in the EF-X20 case.)

Curious, what is the point of these posts? They seem standoffish to me. I mean sure, it may be interesting to know that you're triggered by EDC threads, but why would anyone care whether or not you care what everyone else carries around on a photography board? I gave in and took one anyway, though. Shitty pic because I sold all of my other cameras to buy this setup and so the only "backup" I have right now is an old S90.
If anybody's wondering, the white and black things on the left are a folding hairbrush and comb, something every portrait shooter should carry but very few do.

How's that strap? It looks like it was designed by an asian tech nerd.
>>2852772
Some would call it building credit responsibly but you're allowed your own interpretation :^)
>>2852821
I actually really like it. It's super comfy and the quick-adjust buckles are brilliant, you can quickly and easily snug the camera up to your body for walking around or make it loose for shooting. I've tried a lot of straps over the years and like this one the best of all of them.
It's really nicely made, and I like that it lets you run cross-body like a BlackRapid but without the camera dangling around upside down all the time, and I always found that it was awkward to shoot verticals with the BR, plus this one is easier to shove in a bag. I also really like that I can flip the strap upside down and have grippy rubber for shoulder carry.
The slimmer version would probably suit the Fuji better, by the way, but it only comes in black and I loved the look of this red one.

It changes depending on what I'm doing, but this is the most used stuff and usually what's in my bag. The 56 and 23mm are getting more and more worn and in just under a few months my XP2 has more than a few scratches and a bit of brassing.

Holy fuck, this is the most retarded thing I've ever seen you do, and that's saying something!
You have no income of your own, no collateral and you've signed into a credit card so you could buy a new camera body.
>"But muh credit rating"
If they gave you a 5k limit, your credit rating is fine, it's not like you're gonna be getting a mortgage at any point in your life and need to plan ahead. Also, this is not how you build credit - the card should be paid off in full at the end of every month; hence why when people recommend getting a cc to build credit they normally suggest just putting your lunch on it and paying it off easily every month.
Now I too am unemployed, do you know what I did when I wanted to buy a new A7ii? I took out my debit card and made a small dent in my current account, because I'm responsible and not blinded by neediness. I also grabbed a 70-200 L second hand, cos I felt like splashing out a little and the entire cost still came to less than 15% of what's in my account.

it has steps from 1m to 15m, is bright and visible, p. small/lightweight/extremely durable and usually bereft of the hipsterbux inflated price western-made rangefinders have in EU. The US market's p. saturated with other, cheaper/easier to get brands though.
So yeah, it's p. gud, the 15m last mark's good for your ercona's long focal. Never missed focus on any viewfinder camera I've used it with. The 1m min dist doesn't allow for big closeups but that's around the min focus dist of most rangefinderless cameras anyway. Go for it, nothing worse than missing focus on a 6x9 shot.

>>2854251
Shot from about 80 feet away, 20 feet up in a tree. Can't get any closer due to water, and also the angle.
These lenses aren't magic though... 600mm isn't as much as you may think (people are always shocked at the lack of magnification when they look through) and heat shimmer, mist, glare, etc really become issues. They ease some challenges, but present others. Just as easy to get shitty shots with, as I do quite regularly for identification shots.
As with any lens, with wildlife, you just have to get as close as possible. A 200mm from 20 feet away will blow away a 600mm from 60 feet. But a 600mm from 20 feet is something special for sure, if you like head shots.

Consider me jelly. Always thought the Hexar RF was a far nicer looking rangefinder than the Leicas
These threads bore me
If I wanted to, I could upload a pic worth more $$$ than all of your shit combined guaranteed
I own a professional modeling studio. The lighting set-up I use is worth more than any of your shit. I have a wide selection of gear and I can pretty much buy whatever the fuck I want to (I'll rent if it's not one I'll use that often running out of space lol!!)
I have a collection at home that would Blow The Fuck Out of all of your minds. Leicas are par for the course and my Hass collection would literally give you a cumgasm the instant you laid eyes on it.
How many of you poor fuck have an original Ansel Adams hanging in your studio?
OH right. None of you.
I pull in a six figure income (800k+) and get to fly around the WORLD. No private jet unfortunately but I drive a nice car. Several of them. Actually.
But you know what? You don't see me posting pics of any of that shit because I have class.
Laughing so hard at you poor fags trying to one up everyone with your mediocre consumer grade bullshit.
Get the fuck out of here I eat poor shits like you for breakfast.
If any of you stupid fuck are skeptical I will GLADLY timestamp.
What do you want to see? My garage? Which one? My rolex collection? Fuck. Rolexes are trash compared to some of the nicer watches I own but even if I told you you poor fucks wouldn't even recognize the brand lmao.
You wanna see my art gallery? My camera collection? Bank statement? I'll do it so I can laugh in all of your faces.
Fucking losers. Enjoy your upper middle class lifestyle. You're all classless trash.
>>2854453
This is so well-thought-out that I'm surprised that it isn't copy pasta.
I mean, it is now, but that's beside the point.

Why are fujicucks so obsessed with looks?
>>2854594
Because they're aesthetes.
Typical /p/ browsers have no aesthetic sense, and can't make the logical connection between a person who likes things that look good and one who makes photos that look good.
>>2854594
I can see where they're coming from
It's easier to shoot walking around the city if you look nice. People don't bother you and assume you're some sort of aficionado

Imagine actually caring about your appearance.
Although since you probably have a Sony A6000 (you couldn't afford the new A7) I imagine you never leave your parent's basement and jerk off to DxO Mark scores. So maybe how you look isn't a priority to you, since no one sees you outside your now defunct second life account.

Do you whip it out to check how you're doing on time in the middle of standing in front of a crowd giving a presentation? When you're sitting in a meeting and someone else is trying to talk to you? When you're in the field in a possibly explosive atmosphere where possible sources of ignition and cameras are both strictly prohibited?
>>2855040
It's 2016, and I still use a pen every day. I also tie my shoelaces, and read paperbacks.
Watches are still perfectly functional and relevant, my millennial friend.
>>2854720
is this some /fa/ bait infiltrating my /p/?
>source owns 6 watches and rotates them to suit mood and outfit
>>2855042
I was president of my speech and debate team in high school in college, so I know how long a presentation will take intrinsically, since I've already practiced it a dozen times before delivery.
Why would I pull my phone out when someone is trying to talk to me? That's incredibly rude, about as rude as checking your watch while someone is trying to talk to you. There's plenty of downtime. I'll do it then.
lol at your last example.
>>2855043
I use a bunch of pens, but reminders and shit are all digital because it's so much easier to have your phone remind you to get cat litter when you're at the store, rather than get home and find the note in your pocket. I wear slip-on vans, and I don't read. ;^)
Watches are pretty fashionable, though.
>>2855049
>I was president of my speech and debate team in high school in college
Nice, you have no real world experience
>in high school in college
Nice in in tbqh.
>I know how long a presentation will take
Well, glad you've never done a presentation where an unexpected event has happened to interrupt it such as a fire alarm, bomb threat or a medical emergency. Though I'm sure you'll be fine since you've practiced it a dozen times ;^)
>about as rude as checking your watch while someone is trying to talk to you
Darting your eyes at your wrist and back to theirs once or twice is less offensive than staring at their ear, breasts, dick or feet.
>lol at your last example
It's a situation you can find yourself in, like being in a theatre.

It's 48mm (kill me, I have 49mm and 39mm filters) and it's actually pretty small, for a 50/1.4. It's about the same size as my Fuji 35/2, slightly larger. Waaaay smaller than my Rokkor 50/1.4.
I personally haven't used a Canon RF, but the Hexar is a little smaller than a film Leica, it's a bit thinner, and not as long left-to-right, but it's a bit taller I think.

Those are like 100 dollar headphones what are you triggered over
>>2855581
they're open back headphones made for listening in your house, and you obviously go outside with them, where all the ambient noise is, which objectively ruins any great sound quality you think you're getting out of them, which means you don't have them for the sound quality, so why do you have them? Oh, probably the aesthetic. Buying something objectively worse because it looks "cool" is pretty much the definition of a fedora hipster.
>>2855586
I never said it was ideal but you're hardly going to completely lose all sound from them
Is it less autistic to use the decent enough headphones you have even if they're not great in that situation or to have multiple sets of headphones for different situations
>Buying something objectively worse because it looks "cool" is pretty much the definition of a fedora hipster
Now you're just projecting. They're fine headphones for the price point and you're assuming he bought them because they 'look cool' which you could argue compared to other headphones grado look pretty shit
>>2855593
You don't lose the sound, all the other sounds come in and fuck with what you hear, both from an auditory standpoint, and from a phase standpoint.
Also:
>'look cool' which you could argue compared to other headphones grado look pretty shit
Goes for pretty much every hipster thing. Beards, wayfarers, shitty ironic shirts, fixie bikes, faggy throwback hats, gauged ears, etc. It "looks cool" but certainly doesn't look cool at all.
>>2855586
couldn't have said it better myself friendo
>>2855595
>You don't lose the sound, all the other sounds come in and fuck with what you hear, both from an auditory standpoint, and from a phase standpoint
I meant lose all sound quality completely
>Goes for pretty much every hipster thing. Beards, wayfarers, shitty ironic shirts, fixie bikes, faggy throwback hats, gauged ears, etc. It "looks cool" but certainly doesn't look cool at all.
Now you're going full retard. You've straight jumped to the conclusion that this guy is some sort of hilarious stereotypical hipster you've created in your mind because he has a pair of headphones that you disagree with

That means literally nothing coming from you.
Google "beard" gives mostly the same photos, but then some retard like you says "those aren't hipsters" even when they are, so what's the solution there?
Google "hipster guy" and count all the photos on the front page. Give the ratio of beards to clean faces and come back.
>>2855612
First off you haven't really proven that those headphones are objectively worse than other similar headphones in the same price range
Also how the fuck would you quantify whether a beard is hipster or not
I couldn't give a fuck if you hated those things and had reasons for hating them but when you lump them all together and cannot describe why aside from the fact that the people you hate use them

According to your broken ass logic, beards make you biker.
Be sure to find a safe space to recover in, and take another pill before responding.
>>2855616
If you don't understand why "they let all the sound from the outside world in, which is a problem both for auditory reasons, and for phase reasons" makes them objectively worse than closed back headphones for being out in the world, then it just proves that you don't understand them in the first place, and there's nothing but a long boring post about headphone and audio mechanics that will fix that.
the list of hipster things is not juts a list of things I hate. It's a description of the purchasing decisions of most hipsters. I also hate spray tans, people who eat protein shakes, people who soup up shitty cars to sound real loud, people who walk too slowly on the street, etc. But those didn't make the list, because they aren't predominantly hipster traits. If you think the things that DID make the list are normal everyday things, it's because you, and everyone around you, is a hipster, and you can't fathom anything else. Many people wear suits every day. Some people ride bikes with multiple gears since they're better for travel. Many people DON'T wear hats, ever! etc.

There's nothing you could say about audio mechanics to me that would matter because while headphones that would cancel the most noise would be the best when out and about they're not the best practically if you don't have them, no?
>then it just proves that you don't understand them in the first place, and there's nothing but a long boring post about headphone and audio mechanics that will fix that

If you have a desk job, you'll be carrying a laptop bag or something to and from work.
If you have an occupation that requires you to travel, you'll probably be carrying a bag.
There are the working professionals who carry a camera bag. Not everyone is a basement-dwelling a6000-wielding NEET, and even then, some of them go outside with a bag of stuff to take pictures now and then.
People who live in colder climates wear coats and keep shit in their pockets.
Then there are people who keep this stuff in a glove box.
People generally carry at least a wallet, keys, and a mobile phone, that's three things already. Add sunglasses for a bright day, and a watch. That's five. Maybe a knife or a little gun depending on the part of the world you live in.
It's not unusual at all to have stuff on you.
