there's no such thing as good old ussr/gdr obscure lenses, that's a meme: the quality control in general was very poor; so 90% of the time they're shitty lenses (especially after 40 years of use)

One has electric contacts (not digital) the other doesn't. Both are shit lenses even for crop. I have one, considering trashing it.
Pentagon with text MC is multicoated lens. In some situations they are great lenses!

the only real benefit of zenitars are exquisite focal lengths and lens designs at very low price
if one could flip through a batch of zenitars, surely one would find a good lens; but there's no such thing as they're traded on ebay etc, really a hit-or-miss
